40 Percent Of Kids Rush Through Brushing Their Teeth

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A lot of kids need to brush up on their toothbrushing if a new survey has any teeth to it.

According to a survey by Aquafresh, 88 percent of kids under the age of 10 brush their teeth each night before going to bed.

Although 16 percent of the kids brush their teeth for the recommended two minutes, nearly 77 percent don’t reach the two-minute mark.

Not surprisingly, brushing teeth ranks No. 14 on a list of popular bedtime activities and only beats out hair brushing.

The most popular bedtime activity is “a hug and a kiss,” followed by a bedtime story. Since it’s hard to package hugs, Aquafresh is hoping to increase the amount of brushing with a new line of dental products based on Dr. Suess characters like The Cat In The Hat, Sam I Am and The Lorax.
