Skateboarder To Drop A Bomb Off Hard Rock Hotel

LAS VEGAS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A pro skateboarder who’s dead serious about his sport will attempt a death defying drop off the giant neon light-covered guitar atop the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas.

Danny Way will perform a “Bomb Drop” of approximately 30 feet on April 5 with hopes of smashing the old record of 12-feet, 3.6-inches.

To prepare for the drop, the Evel Knievel of skateboarding has been practicing water drops over a lake.

Way is no stranger to big jumps. He’s jumped out of a helicopter and in 2005 he jumped across the Great Wall of China on his board.

As he puts it, “This is one more experiment on my quest to explore the boundaries of skateboarding.”
