Seth Godin is the brains behind Squidoo.com, a website that allows people to create their own signposts or lenses when doing a web search to provide the most relevant information to their tasks.
As he puts it, Google is too good at what it does. It brings up too many matches.
Godin named the website squidoo because a squid has big eyes and he figures the website provides more relevant searches, without all the links to sex websites than occur with Google and other search engines.
Thats because any website thats not office friendly gets flagged.
Squidoo has been online for seven weeks and there are already more than 17,000 lenses. Interestingly, the most popular topic is How to waste time on the internet.
