This years inductees will officially be announced Feb. 8, and to get into the Hall of Fame, a spokeswoman says the inventors had to have created something that has changed our lives.
Some of this years inventions include Gore-Tex Fabric; the internet protocol; fiberglass; the coaxial cable; controlled drug delivery, used in medications; and the intravascular stent.
Awards ceremonies for the inductees will be held May 5 and 6, where they will receive medallions and have plaques hung in the National Inventors Hall of Fame located in Akron, Ohio.
