Warren G Wants To Lift People Up With ‘Get U Down Part 2’ Ring Tones

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Rapper Warren G is hoping to lift the spirits of Hurricane Katrina victims with ring tones of his hit single, “Get U Down Part 2.”

G says for the sequel to the song, he brought in Cypress Hill’s B Real, Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg and that “everybody touched on different subjects,” such as gang violence, football, racism and “that 5-year-old girl getting handcuffed.”

Most importantly, G says, “I want to dedicate it to the victims of the hurricane,” and is sending $1 of every ring tone purchase to the Red Cross’s Hurricane Relief efforts.

Not only that, he says just listening to the song is a positive thing because, in his words, “The hook is just don’t let no one get you down.”

He says the decision to help others came naturally, adding, “My family raised me right.”

Ring tone downloads are available at beginning Nov. 15.
