Jason Mraz At Your Service

TUCSON, Ariz. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Jason Mraz has begun his U.S. tour to promote his new album, MR. A-Z, and he’s aiming to please.

Mraz says he’s happy to play songs from the new album – which took him exactly 365 days to complete – but the musician reveals he’s more “Mr. DJ” on stage than Mr. A-Z.

That’s because when fans scream out songs they want to hear from previous albums, he says, “Then we give it to them. We’re not there to give them what we think they want. It’s fun to take those requests. They’re the ones who paid $23 to see this show.”

The next official stop for Mraz is Austin, Texas, this Sunday (Sep. 25), but he says during the so-called “gaps” of his tour, he’ll be throwing in “a lot of private shows” at smaller venues.

Though Mraz obviously likes touring, there are some places he wishes he could avoid – like Florida. In his words, “What a drag that place is. There are a lot of meatheads.”
