Lack Of ‘Outside Stimulus’ Helps INXS Wannabe Get In Touch With Soul

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you want to get in touch with your inner soul, keeping the outside world out is key.

That’s the musical lesson Suzie McNeil has learned during her time on Rock Star: INXS. She says all the aspiring INXS singers haven’t had “any outside stimulus” and that’s “helped to keep out distractions.”

As a result, McNeil feels she’s now writing better songs than ever but admits that’s because the contest itself is “a roller coaster of emotions” and “that’s where great songs come from.”

In her words, “It’s like when you break up with someone and you get five songs out of it.”

McNeil feels she is now singing rawer than she did before the show and isn’t afraid of letting it all out.”

The Rock Star: INXS finale isn’t until Sept. 20, but even if McNeil isn’t chosen as the band’s new lead singer, she admits she wouldn’t mind being their backup singer.
