Dental Hotline Gives Folks Something To Smile About

WASHINGTON (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Dental experts will be telling the tooth – and nothing but the tooth – to callers of a dental hotline all day today (Jul. 15).

The Academy of General Dentistry will hold their annual SmileLine hotline where folks can ask dental experts questions.

Technicians mainly get mundane questions, but in the past they’ve also received wacky questions like:

“Can I regrow a tooth,” and “Is it safe to microwave my dentures?”

Also, one man asked, “If I bite someone, can a dentist really tell if it was me?”

The answers to those question are “no,” “yes,” and “yes” and the hotline’s experts say a dentist can match your bite marks if they have an impression of your teeth.

The SmileLine will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. EDT at 1-800-SMILE-33.
