Hollywood Memorabilia Up For Auction

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Star Trek fans still lamenting the cancellation of the TV franchise still have a chance to get their mitts on some original props.

This Sunday (May 22), Bonhams & Butterfields auction house in Los Angeles will be putting up a pistol phaser and communicator – valued at $3,000 – and an original Hero hand phaser – valued at $3,500 – on the auction block

They’re part of the second Collector’s Auction of TV, film and music memorabilia.

Also up for auction is a black felt top hat worn by Lucille Ball on an I Love Lucy episode featuring Harpo Marx. Pricing experts value the hat at $6,000.

In addition, film star Katherine Hepburn’s passport, which is estimated at $3,000, will be up for sale.

But the biggest item available in the movie category is the 1937 Academy Award for Best Screenplay, which went to the writers of The Life of Emile Zola.
