56 Percent Of Americans Still Clean Like Mom

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Americans may dress differently than their parents but most still clean house the same way.

According to a new survey by the Soap and Detergent Association, 56 percent of Americans say they still clean house the way their mom did, even though 55 percent use different cleaning products.

Women are more likely than men to follow Mom’s style of cleaning, 62 percent of women to 50 percent of men, and older people are more likely to say their cleaning style differs from their elders.

Other stats swept up in the survey....

  • 17 percent clean their house less frequently than their mom.

  • Six percent hate cleaning so much they hire someone else to do it.

  • Three percent say they clean better than their mom.

  • Finally, only one percent think today’s modern cleaning supplies are better than the ones used by their parents.
