Stars Vain About Veins

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – All eyes will be on the stars as they parade down the red carpet at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (Feb. 13), but hopefully, no one will notice the celebs’ swollen feet and unsightly varicose veins.

That’s because sitting through lengthy award ceremonies make the singers and entertainers prone to developing spider and varicose veins.

According to Dr. Luis Navarro, director of the Vein Treatment Center in Manhattan, current trends like high heels, girdles, and tight clothing that the stars wear can cut off their circulation, aggravating the condition.

Women have a harder time hiding the bloody flaws, as opposed to men whose varicose veins can be covered by hair or long pants.

Navarro recommends frequent walks and ankle rotation during the ceremony to encourage circulation. But drastic measures may be taken through medical procedures like sclerotherapy, allowing the stars to put their best leg forward by the time the Oscars roll around.
