Valerie Harper Committed To ‘Committed’

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Actress Valerie Harper isn’t an official cast member of the NBC sitcom Committed but she’s just as committed to the show’s success.

Harper – who is best known as Rhoda Morganstern on the 1970s sitcom Rhoda – is a big fan of the show, which she calls “incredibly original with a basis in reality.”

Harper will appear on an upcoming episode portraying the activist mom of series star Josh Cooke and says she welcomes the chance to become a recurring character.

As she puts it, “I’m extremely at home working on a multi-camera show. It’s a very specific environment.”

Harper also enjoys being a guest on sitcoms because, in her words, “When I was on Rhoda and we had a guest, we were excited because it was someone new to play with.”

Harper’s guest shot on Committed airs Feb. 15.
