Honeymoon Disaster Pays Off Big For Couple

TULSA, Okla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The honeymoon isn’t over for a Maryland couple whose sob story has won them a second honeymoon.

Lynn and Steven Curran of Chester, Maryland, have been crowned the winners of Thrifty Car Rental’s 10th Annual Honeymoon Disasters Contest.

The two spent their honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, where their troubles started with a midnight skinny-dip gone wrong: They had a close encounter with a large jellyfish and ran screaming out of the water, which, according to Lynn, “told everybody on the beach, ‘Hey look at the idiots running naked on the beach!’”

Things got worse when Steven got Montezuma’s revenge and Lynn was attacked by a barracuda while snorkeling.

Finally, Lynn humiliated herself when she goosed a stranger in the hotel swimming pool after mistaking him for her new husband. She was further embarrassed when the same guy showed up on their scuba trip.

For all their misery, the couple has been awarded a free second honeymoon and $500 cash.
