LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A quirky little device is creating quite a stir for root beer floats.

The Fizz is a plastic cup that can be filled with ice cream and screwed onto a soda bottle.

When the bottle is squeezed, it sends the pop into the ice cream and creates an instant, fizzy root beer or soda float.

Toymaker David Chodosh designed the gizmo to put a modern spin on the classic root beer float. Since half the fun is watching the soda mix with the ice cream and bubble up, the gadget highlights that.

Chodosh says the best part is that it gives people total control over their root beer float. They can decide how much or how little soda they want to mix into their ice cream according to whatever floats their boat.

Right now The Fizz cup comes empty, but Chodosh is working toward a more convenient model that already includes ice cream inside.
