Art Made In 60 Minutes Or Less

Tuesday, March 2, 2010 17:16 GMT

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – For some artists, time and speed is of the essence.

The 10th Annual Monster Drawing Rally is bringing 130 artists from all over to the Verdi Club in San Francisco on Friday (Mar. 5) with one goal in mind: To churn out amazing art pieces in less than an hour for charity.

Spokesperson Amanda Ault says the event will break down the fourth wall by letting the general public see how an artist manages to create something completely new from scratch under a tight deadline, especially since artists aren’t known to rush their creativity.

Every hour of the event, new art will come out as if on a conveyor belt. It’ll be sold on the spot so attendees can walk off with an original piece before the world even gets to see it.

Guests shouldn’t interrupt the artists at work by giving their input on a piece or look over their shoulders because they might bite.
