Yoga Paired With Fine Food

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Now, foodies can warm their bellies and muscles all at once.

Yoga For Foodies is a yoga class that pairs the calming exercise with fine dining. Students work up a small sweat and then feast on a gourmet meal made by chefs at yoga studios across the country.

Event creator David Romanelli came up with the idea after seeing his yogi girlfriend fawn over the Food Network.

He says, “I realized that chefs are like rock stars. The way you feel when you eat an amazing meal is the way you feel when you to go a rock show. It’s exciting and fulfilling.”

By combining exercise and food, Romanelli intends to make delicious meals “more sacred,” promote a yoga-centered lifestyle, and introduce people to the slow food movement that encourages cleaner, healthier eating.

Stomach aches aren’t an issue during the yoga sessions because both the exercise and meals are kept light.
