Walk And Text Safely

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – iPhone users can now text without walking into a pole.

The Type n Walk iPhone application allows users to text freely while strutting down the street by projecting a live feed of the road in front of them from their camera phone.

Users text over the projected feed, allowing them to message and see where they’re going.

Creator Ben Poon says now people won’t trip over a rock or bump into other pedestrians as they type.

The app, however, shouldn’t be taken advantage of.

Poon insists that users “not do stupid stuff,” like mount their iPhones on their dashboards so they can drive and text at the same time.

He advises everyone to be “responsible” users and not “walk into a knife fight” or use it during sex.

Poon says, “People are walking and texting anyway, so why not make it safer for them? However, we don’t encourage stupidity.”
