Workplaces Still Offer Holiday Perks

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Despite the recession, ’tis the season to give – even at work.

According to a new survey by CareerBuilder, many companies will still offer holiday perks to reward their staff this season, including bonuses, gifts, and parties.

Although employers are watching every penny, 29 percent plan to give their workers holiday bonuses, 16 percent in the same amount as in previous years.

About 11 percent will give less than before, and only 12 percent won’t give bonuses at all.

More than 26 percent of head honchos plan to give their staff holiday gifts, with 15 percent spending the same amount as in years past.

Only 8 percent of employers aren’t planning to give workers gifts this year, for economic reasons.

As for the annual office holiday party, 49 percent of employers are still organizing a bash.

About 30 percent will throw the same party as years before, and 18 percent will host a shindig on a smaller scale.
