Squeeze Fun Out Of Thanksgiving

SANTA ANA. Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Squeezing the fun out of Thanksgiving (Nov. 26) dinner is actually a good idea.

Malcolm Kushner is the creator of “squisine,” healthy dishes that can be squeezed out of a tube, plastic bottle, or cake frosting bag.

Squisine is meant to get kids eating healthier since they get to play with their food in the process.

Kushner says Thanksgiving (Nov. 26) is a perfect time to introduce kids to squisine because most of the holiday fare is squeezable.

Cranberry sauce, gravy, mashed potatoes, and canned pumpkin can all be put in a bottle and squirted by kids onto their plates.

Even green beans can be blended into a squisine puree. Kids will be having so much fun, they won’t even notice they’re eating vegetables.

Kushner says kids will also get a little exercise while preparing their meal, since squeezing requires energy.

He’s the author of California Squisine: Healthy Food That’s Fast, Fun, And Squeezable For Kids (Reed).
