On MuniDiaries.com, commuters share their strange stories of riding the San Francisco Muni, the city’s bus line.
Spokesperson Eugenia Chein says riding the bus is a crazy “social experiment,” where it’s “inevitable that something weird or random will happen” since people of all backgrounds are forced into a small space.
Chein herself has witnessed fights, perverts, and a seemingly sweet old man yell to a woman that she’d “die alone” after hearing her gripe about her boyfriend the whole ride.
Though the bus should be safe, Chein says it’s a hotbed of strange sexual assault for women.
A few contributors have sent in stories of a man who liked dry humping women’s shoulders onboard while blasting music from his cell phone.
The wacky bus stories will be shared live Friday (Oct. 30) at the Make-Out Room in San Fran.
