Duo Solve Modern-Day Capers

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Sherlock Holmes finally has a couple of modern-day sleuth successors.

Actors Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay star in White Collar, a new series about a con artist and FBI agent that partner to solve capers, premiering tomorrow (Oct. 23) on USA Network.

DeKay is living his boyhood fantasy by pretending to solve cases because he’s always wanted to be Sherlock Holmes.

He recalls watching old reruns of the classic detective flicks as a kid, wishing he could be as slick as Basil Rathbone.

DeKay would often play along and try to get to “the bottom of things” himself before a film’s end.

As for Bomer, who plays a smooth con artist, he’s just as excited about bluffing as sleuthing.

He’s not much of a con offscreen and admits that even when he tries to lie, he gets busted.

Bomer adds, “I can’t get away with anything.”
