Los Angeles Antebellum Gallery, the worlds only fetish art gallery, is celebrating the sexy side of spirits with their exhibit The Thin Veil, opening tomorrow (Oct. 17).
Supernatural themes are displayed through paintings, photos, drawings, and other media.
Curator Rick Castro says October is a time of year when the veil between the living world and the spirit world is at its thinnest, allowing ghosts easy access to pass between both.
This tends to make artists feel frisky.
He explains, Our spirits continue on with our sensuality intact, and thats fetishized by people. Its all about passion when it comes to spirits.
Castro says many artists claim to have spirit lovers ghosts that they get busy with or have late loved ones who visit them.
He adds, Theres a longing for something you cant quite touch or see. People are drawn to it and excited sexually by it.
