The Magic’s In The Bubble

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One magician isn’t bursting anyone’s bubble with his act.

Tom Noddy performs a super soapy show, Bubble Magic, in which he creates intricate shapes and patterns out of bubbles.

He admits most of the work is already done for him since “you can’t blow an ugly bubble,” but still gets excited when he perfects a cube-shaped bubble, a “love bubble” where he makes “two become one,” or recreates the famous mathematical shape known as the Kelvin cell.

Before blowing that one, it hadn’t been recreated in 100 years.

Currently, Noddy is hard at work attempting to make the Weaire-Phelan structure, a shape that “beats” the Kelvin Cell and would blow any math geek’s mind.

Noddy became infatuated by bubbles after staring at soap suds in the sink while washing dishes, adding, “It’s a world of wonder in there!”

He calles the shapes and colors of bubbles “just beauty.”
