CanvasPop.com allows people to print virtually any photo including tiny-resolution images from Facebook and iPhones onto canvas.
Through cool filters, the pictures are made into classy canvas wall art that looks more like a hand-drawn sketch or oil painting.
CanvasPop founder Adrian Salamunovic says each piece is intelligently rendered by a human, not just by software.
Artists put a pen to special computer screens and simulate paintbrush strokes to make the canvas art look authentic.
So far, most people have submitted pictures of landscapes or vacation hotspots for the canvas treatment.
Salamunovic says theyve also gotten several cat pictures, baby portraits, kids drawings, and a self- portrait of a guy in a cowboy hat.
The first 100 customers to use CanvasPop will have their canvas shots displayed for 15 seconds on a giant Times Square billboard next month.
