BuckyBalls are a set of 216 powerful magnetic balls that can be shaped, molded, and played with in hundreds of ways. They’re being dubbed the latest craze in office accessories.
Creator Jake Bronstein hoped selling his invention would just help him “pay some bills,” but has instead found that people can’t get enough of his addictive balls.
He likens BuckyBalls to bubble wrap in their useless, yet oh- so-fun nature.
Bronstein says, “They don’t do anything, or maybe they do everything. You just play with them. They live in your hands and you can’t put them down.”
Office drones get a kick of kneading BuckyBalls during boring meetings, phone calls, or anytime they’re “fidgeting around” or nervous.
Bronstein’s mother even wears his balls as jewelry to show how proud she is of her successful son.
