Buck Wolf’s Weird News Central: Personal Urns

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Egyptian pharaohs aren’t the only ones who get to be buried in a statue sculpted in their own image.

The age of sarcophaguses might be over, but you can have your cremated ashes stuffed in a Personal Urn – a $2,600 statue of your head that your family and friends can gaze upon after you die.

This week, Buck Wolf of About.com’s Weird News Central takes a look at some of the strangest funeral alternatives.

He says, “One company will mix your ashes with paint and commission an artist to create a painting that your loved ones can hang on a wall. Another will turn your remains into jewelry.”

You don’t have to wait until death to put your Personal Urn to use.

The company that sells them – ThatsMyFace.com – says the statues make great pencil and pen holders.
