According to dream researcher Kelly Bulkeley, summer dreams are often happier because people are living easier.
For example, dreams about barbecues mean youre looking to party and reconnect with friends and family in a fun social setting.
If you dream about the sun, it usually reflects happiness, divine energy, and brightness in your life.
Dreams involving a pool or beach symbolize wanting to get back in touch with nature and the desire to renew your energy before going back to the daily grind.
But while many people experience sweeter dreams in the summer, others suffer nightmares.
Bulkeley says many unemployed folks currently report having disruptive dreams due to their economic turmoil.
Their dreams reflect the anxiety associated with being jobless, but can be curbed by putting themselves in a good place before bed and inviting better dreams.
