Avoid Drab Ditties On Daddy’s Day

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Be mindful of the songs you dedicate to Dad this Sunday (Jun. 21) or his Father’s Day could be ruined.

Many famous Dad ditties could actually hurt Pops’ feelings.

For instance, the Doors’ “The End” could really put a damper on Dad’s day with drab lyrics like: Father?/ Yes, Son?/ I want to kill you.

Steer clear of Simple Plan’s “Perfect,” a downer about a disapproving daddy. Lyrics include: Cuz we lost it all/ Nothing lasts forever/ I’m sorry I can’t be perfect.

Harry Chapin’s “Cat’s In The Cradle” features the cruel chorus: When you comin’ home, Dad?/ I don’t know when, we’ll get together then.

Country crooner Billy Currington’s song about a stumbling, alcoholic father should also be avoided, since lyrics include: When he got home at night/ He’d pass me by to pass out in his chair.
