Tattoo Artist Leaves Mark On Open Road

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One tattoo artist is hitting the open road and bringing his needles and ink along for the ride.

World-renowned tattoo artist Thomas Pendelton takes his work across the country in the new A&E unscripted series Tattoo Highway, premiering May 27.

Pendelton, his wife, and a team of tattooers ride across America on a 1970’s bus decked out like a tat parlor, stopping wherever there are folks who want to get inked.

Though the journey led him to many interesting customers, it was the pit stops that made the trip truly unforgettable – and a little scary.

Pendelton recalls one crazy experience outside a burger restaurant where a hooker popped her head into the tattoo bus and asked if anyone wanted a blow job.

The crew also got in trouble after tattooing a highly intoxicated bar patron, but Pendelton says he was just being “old school” by letting the drunkard get inked.
