Youth Ministry Worships To The Extreme

HOUSTON (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Why pray to the Lord quietly when you can worship to the extreme? That’s what a group called S.P.A.M.A.R.A.M.A. is asking.

S.P.A.M.A.R.A.M.A. – or Students Proclaiming Awesome Message About Repentance And Mercy Available – is a youth ministry that brings kids and teens closer to God through what they call “extreme worship.”

Founder Jaime Garcia believes young people respond better to crazy antics that serve as metaphors for good and evil.

Things like taking a hammer to a huge mirror and smashing it to demonstrate the effect sin has on the body.

He also like to use props – like grenades, shotguns and handguns – and a dart blower to show students the effect of violence on the world.

Garcia says he hopes one day to take the extreme to the max by holding a prayer session while skydiving.
