This past Saturday (Apr. 5), 56-year-old Lester Tucker defeated his opponents at the 34th Annual Pickled Quail Egg Eating Contest in Grand Prairie, Texas, retaining his crown for the 14th straight year.
Tucker, whos won the chowing challenge 18 times in total, feels pretty good about his 38 eggs in 60 seconds victory, and humbly accepts that when it comes to pickled quail eggs, hes unstoppable.
He says, I dont know if its a good thing that Im so good at this, but its always good to be good at something. I just have a natural talent for it.
Tucker explains that having a gift for gorging is one thing, but its his years of experience that keep him from panicking when its game time.
Though many have tried to beat him, including his own son, Tucker says they all have a shot when he retires, which hell do when someone actually manages to de-throne him.
