TV Host Plays Video Games For 14 Hours Straight

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Time flies when you’re playing video games.

Just ask Joel Gourdin, co-host of WCG Ultimate Gamer, an elimination-style reality competition in search of America’s best video gamer, which premieres March 10.

Gourdin, a video game fanatic, admits that the longest he’s ever played video games is 14 hours straight with his buddies.

He was probably playing one of his two favorite games, Left 4 Dead or Street Fighter, which he dubs the “Pacman of my generation.”

He says, “I’ve been playing Street Fighter since I was 11 years old, putting quarters into arcade machines.”

Although Gourdin can hold his own behind a controller as a “casual gamer,” it takes much more to be a pro.

While sports video games are the hardest to master, hardcore gamers can often tackle them with their eyes closed.

He says the gaming world is open to everyone and adds, “It’s not just kids wearing black trench coats, playing in their basements anymore.”
