Dr. Kathleen Hall, founder of The Stress Institute in Atlanta, Georgia, says instead of letting the day of love shatter your nerves, you should use it as a time to let go of all the baggage on your shoulders.
She says, For one day, clear your mind of your enormous worries and focus on love. Love is a healing balm to the mind, body, and soul. Love creates energy, hope, and mental and physical health.
To turn Valentines Day into a day of healing, Hall recommends wearing lots of purple because its the color of happiness and hope and will make you feel energized.
She also says that buying a single stem of your favorite flower and treating yourself to lots of chocolate boosts endorphins, relieves anxiety, and soothes the Valentines Day blues.
