Ex NFL Player Can’t Keep Head In The Game

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – When former NFL player Dan Dierdorf watches football on TV, it’s hard for him to keep his head in the game.

Dierdorf – who played for the St. Louis Cardinals for 13 seasons back in the ’70s and ’80s – is now an analyst for CBS Sports and will be calling the Baltimore Ravens-Tennessee Titans playoff game this Saturday (Jan. 10) on CBS.

While the ex pigskin pro loves catching a good match-up on the field, he loves listening to the play-by-plays even more.

Dierdorf admits that if he’s watching a football game on TV, he’s not watching the actual game as much as he’s watching fellow sports commentators work.

He likes to study how other NFL analysts comment on games and learn from them – or talk a little smack.

He laughs, “All I do is talk about how I would’ve said things this way or that way instead!”

Dierdorf can’t wait to give a rundown on the Baltimore- Tennessee game, which, “Will be a rock ’em, sock ’em bloodbath.”
