Stiff Drinks Cure Financial Woes

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – After a year of economic hardships, a hard drink will do financiers good.

Dan Simon, head of the Cognito financial public relations firm, has concocted a menu of finance-themed drinks that he says will make any Wall Street hustler forget the tough year they’ve had.

For example, a “CosmoPaulson,” named after U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, blends vodka, triple sec, cranberry, and lime juice together.

A TARPatini, named after the master bailout plan of the Troubled Assets Relief Program, is a hard mix of Captain Morgan, Malibu, and Myers mixed with juices and a flaming floater of 151.

Simon says, “Financial guys need these the most. Last year they were drinking in celebration, this year they’re drinking in commiseration.”

He believes the combination of a light-hearted drink that’s full of alcohol will help Wall Street workers “feel better” because, “People always want to drink and they always want to laugh, even in the direst of times.”
