62nd Annual Mother Goose Parade Briefs

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The annual Mother Goose Parade in El Cajon, California – a city within San Diego County – takes all year long prepare. The 62nd Annual Mother Goose Parade took place this past Sunday (Nov. 23) and featured celebrities like Tori Spelling, High School Musical’s KayCee Stroh, Brady Bunch boys Barry Williams and Christopher Knight, and Growing Pains alum Alan Thicke. El Cajon councilwoman Jillian Hanson-Cox organized family-friendly parade and was proud of the elaborate floats and talent on board. Her favorite float was parade Grand Marshal Tori Spelling’s ride, which Hanson-Cox described as, “A float depicting the parade itself. It reminds us of the parade’s 62 years of history.”

SAN DIEGO – The boys of modern-day New Menudo have a way with the ladies. The five-member boy band was spotted wooing local teens and beauty pageant queens at the Mother Goose Parade this past Sunday (Nov. 23). Their impromptu singing of their hit “Lost” may have something to do with all the attention from female fans. The Latino pop group cites ’NSYNC and the original Menudo as their main musical inspirations and hope to have the same success as the boy bands who paved the way.

SAN DIEGO – The 62nd Annual Mother Goose Parade was a reunion for old pals who used to rule the TV airwaves. Brady Bunch alumni Christopher Knight and Barry Williams – who have remained close friends over the years – were delighted to hang out with Joanie Loves Chachi star Erin Moran. Meanwhile, Growing Pains dad Alan Thicke couldn’t resist hugging it out with old pal Christopher Knight and introducing himself to Knight’s wife, Top Model Cycle One winner Adrianne Curry. Leave It To Beaver alum Jerry Mathers was also overjoyed to see the Brady Boys and other TV stars from yesteryear whom he’s known for “a very long time.”

SAN DIEGO – Young starlets were a huge draw for screaming tween fans at the Mother Goose Parade. High School Musical star KayCee Stroh made time to sign autographs for a bunch of hysterical fans, while iCarly star Jennette McCurdy greeted her peeps with smiles and waves. Suite Life of Zack and Cody regular Sammi Hanratty also drove onlookers wild, as did adorable Anna Maria Perez De Tagle from Disney Channel’s smash hit movie, Camp Rock.

SAN DIEGO – After all these years, Greg Brady still makes the ladies swoon. Brady Bunch actor Barry Williams got a candid compliment from a cougar as he walked the red carpet at the Mother Goose Parade. As Williams stopped to talk exclusively with FlashNews, a woman nearby yelled, “Barry, you still look good from behind!” Williams – obviously flattered – looked down at his bum, smiled, and yelled back, “Why, thank you!”

SAN DIEGO – Disney Channel actor Raviv “Ricky” Ullman is getting in on the Twilight craze. At the Mother Goose Parade, Ullman revealed exclusively to FlashNews that he had gone to a late screening of the vampire flick the night before (Nov. 22). Ullman liked the film but wishes there would’ve been “more fangs” involved because, as he puts it, “What’s a vampire movie without fangs?” Ullman is such a “fanpire” he actually dressed up as a vampire for Halloween (Oct. 31) this year, complete with a cape, make-up, and, of course, fangs. When asked if he scared kids that night he laughed, “That’s all I ever do!”

SAN DIEGO – Happy Days star Erin Moran had a reason to celebrate at the Mother Goose Parade: Her happy marriage! Her 15-year wedding anniversary to husband Steven Fleischmann was on the same day as the parade (Nov. 23) and her hubby accompanied her on the red carpet. The couple told FlashNews that the secret to their long-lasting marriage was Fleischmann’s patience and understanding with firecracker Moran. They admitted that their biggest arguments around the house stem from who’s turn it is to vacuum.
