Thats the buzz from Arthur and Anita Jones, the first team sent home packing from the reality competition this past Sunday (Sep. 28).
The tie-dye wearing hippie duo work as beekeepers in Eugene, Oregon, and admit that dealing with the fast pace and stress of The Amazing Race is way scarier than handling bees.
Arthur says, When you approach a hive and disturb 60,000, you know youre going to get stung. We werent prepared for the excitement and adrenaline of the show. We had no idea what we were in for.
The free-spirited couple blames hot weather and humidity for their early exit, not their hippie attitude.
Anita says, We are who we are, and are happy to accept what comes along. Our free-spirited attitude actually may have helped us.
Arthur adds, Besides, theres nothing wrong with hippies.
The Amazing Race airs Sundays on CBS.
