David Letterman’s Posse Reveals Fun, Inaccurate Facts

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Did you know that blueberry is the most commonly shoplifted muffin?

That’s the kind of weird fact David Letterman and the Late Show’s mythical “Federal Bureau of Miscellaneous Information (FBMI)” want people to know.

The Late Show crew has just penned Late Show Fun Facts (Hyperion), a collection of wacky, hilarious tidbits for trivia junkies.

For instance, the elusive FBMI claims that one in every 2,000 babies is born fully clothed, and Einstein estimated that his Theory of Relativity got him laid more than 100 times.

Other ridiculous, “almost accurate” info includes...

  • After bingo, the second most popular recreational activity at senior centers is leg wrestling.

  • Scientists who’ve been studying pigeons say they’re definitely up to something.

  • The standard American eye chart contains several Dutch obscenities.

  • The apple that hit Isaac Newton on the head was actually thrown by some neighborhood punks.

  • Richard Simmons has been pepper-sprayed more than 50 times.
