Brad Delp’s ‘Cute Car’ For Sale

DENVER (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Revved up Boston fans can now get their hands on a major piece of late frontman Brad Delp’s life.

Delp, who died in March 2007, left his beloved 2003 Volkswagen Beetle to ex-fiancee Pat Komor in his will, and she’s auctioning off the motorized memorabilia on eBay now through September 21.

Proceeds from the silver Bug’s sale will go to charity in Delp’s name, and Komor – who dated the rocker from 1992 to 1998 – believes he’d approve of the Beetle bidding.

She says Delp loved his fans more than anything and he’d like the idea of giving his car to a groupie because the wheels were his pride and joy.

Since he was a huge fan of the Beatles, Delp thought it was fitting to actually own a Beetle, and enjoyed the attention his car got.

Once, a group of seven strangers asked him if they could pile into his car and take a picture, without even noticing Delp himself.

Komor adds, “Brad thought his car was real cute. He loved that the dashboard was so big, he could eat an entire take-out pizza on it.”
