Josh Schaffner is director of the New York Craft Beer Week Festival, a 10-day boozing event which begins tomorrow (Sep. 12), and hes heard quirky cures for nausea after beer binging.
For instance, Schaffner recalls how a teacher once suggested mixing a raw egg with equal portions of tomato juice and light beer to help a hangover.
He says other pro boozehounds have been known to try drinking whatever gave them the hangover in the first place, or simply giving it the old college try, which is chugging the biggest Gatorade they can find.
As for Schaffners own hangovers, he prefers healing them in a more traditional way, or as he puts it, With greasy food and a large batch of pancakes.
