‘Destination Truth’ Crew Fear A Cursing

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Even the crew of Destination Truth gets scared of things that go bump in the night.

The Sci-Fi Channel monster-hunting show is kicking off its third season next Wednesday (Sep. 3), trotting the globe to research the creepiest beasts in various cultures.

Though the crew has dealt with scary encounters in far-off places, host Josh Gates says they still get scared investigating certain mythological beings.

He says, “The stuff that tends to spook the crew most is anything dealing with being cursed. They’re less apt to dig into anything that might mean them getting a horrible curse put on them.”

Though he’s researched strange creatures like the Yeti of Nepal and the Chupacabra in Chile, Gates is still surprised by the creatures people actually believe in.

He says, “Obviously, I have to stretch my imagination for a lot of these things. When you go into the culture and put it in the context of their beliefs, though, you can see why they believe in them.”
