‘Tramp Stamps’ Still Popular Tattoos For Women

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The tramp stamp tattoo trend – where women get ink on their lower back – is still going strong.

According to a survey by Tattoo Nation, the lower back remains a top place on the body where women prefer to get tattoos.

Other popular places for ink include the wrist, bikini line, foot, ankle, upper back, and shoulder.

The top five tats being chosen by women these days are a star, script, heart, flowers, and a cross.

Tattooing in women has quadrupled over the past 20 years, and gals are the fastest-growing demographic getting inked.

Some of their reasons behind getting tattoos include...

  • Because they saw the tattoo on a celebrity.

  • To honor a living family member.

  • As a memorial for a person who’s dead.

  • To represent their heritage.

  • And to cover up a tattooed name – perhaps of an ex – or a substandard tattoo.
