Tour Vamps Up Bay City History

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – San Francisco’s history is getting a blood-sucking twist.

Vampires may have never actually walked the streets of the Bay City, but Kitty Nasarow, who runs the Vampire Tour of San Francisco, isn’t too worried about historical accuracy of her Dracula-themed city tours.

She says, “San Francisco didn’t have a history with vampires before, but now it does. I tweak history to make vampires fit. It makes it more interesting.”

For the tour, Nasarow assumes the identity of Mina Harker, a dark vampress who’s lived in San Francisco for over 100 years, but she says no one buys her creepy persona.

She explains, “Most people figure it out because it’s not a scary tour. Some get mad and yell at me. They want to go down to the tunnels beneath the city, but they’re not a place you want to go.”
