Bike Lovers Bring The ‘Heavy Pedal’

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A traveling troupe of bike aficionados are bringing “heavy pedal” to the people.

The Cyclecide Heavy Pedal Bike Rodeo is a community of bike lovers who bring bicycle-powered carnival rides, a mariachi punk rock band, and crazy, homemade bikes to cities around the country.

The pedal partiers showcase their wild bikes, including a fire-spitting cycle they call “The Chupacabra,” and have wild events like bumper bikes and bike jousting.

Director Jarico Reesce says, “We’re kind of like the Hells Angels, but we don’t beat people up. We probably look a little rough. We show up on our big bus, looking like Motley Crue.

Reesce says Cyclecide is all about fun, and recommends parents let their kids ride bizarre bikes like theirs, even if they’re not 100 percent safe, because it will get their creative juices flowing.
