Worst Movie Dads Could Ruin Father’s Day (Jun. 15)

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Jack Nicholson, Mike Meyers, and Daniel Day-Lewis could really put a damper on Father’s Day (Jun. 15).

That’s because all three actors have played some pretty awful dads on the big screen. – the nation’s leading moviegoer destination – has just conducted a poll of the Worst Big Screen Dads, and with 19 percent of votes, Day-Lewis’ oil- hungry tycoon Daniel Plainview from There Will Be Blood tops the dysfunctional Daddy list.

Meyers portrayal of Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers flicks gets 11 percent of votes, while 7 percent of movie buffs dub Nicholson’s crazy, cabin fevered Jack Torrance from The Shining a poor papa.

Other bad movie dads include Willem Dafoe in Spiderman, Eddie Murphy as Mr. Wong in Norbit, and Rodney Dangerfield in Natural Born Killers.

Although the malicious movie dads could ruin Father’s Day celebrations, Fandango editor Harry Medved says their bad behavior could give real life dads an advantage.

He explains, “Dads can watch these movie dads in action and not feel so bad about their own deficiencies as a father. At least they’re not chasing their kid around with an axe like Jack Nicholson in The Shining.
