Protesters Pedal With Their Pants Off

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Bike riders in Chicago are having a pants-off protest.

The World Naked Bike Ride is taking off on Saturday (Jun. 14), as cyclists strip down to their birthday suits and ride for 12 miles to protest America’s oil dependency.

Event coordinator Andrew Bedno says the event has evolved into a pants-off pedal party that’s been embraced by everyone in the Windy City.

He says, “I think the mayor must be saying, ‘It’s alright, let them be a little naked’ because we’ve only had a few arrests. As long as nipples are covered and you don’t goad police you’re fine.”

According to Bedno, the biggest issue bikers in the buff face isn’t foreign oil or even a smelly bike seat.

He says, “Our biggest problem is drunks who step in our way as we’re riding and moon us. It happened two or three dozen times last year. They don’t understand the risk they put themselves in.”
