‘Bachelorette’ Bootee Can’t Find Onscreen Chemistry

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The latest Bachelorette reject couldn’t use his classroom skills to create any chemistry.

This past Monday (Jun. 2), Richard Mathy – a science teacher in Binghamton, New York – was voted off The Bachelorette after failing to win a rose from bachelorette DeAnna Pappas.

While Mathy’s teaching tactics didn’t help create any chemistry with Pappas, he’s not too bummed.

He says, “You can’t just come up with chemistry between people. If it clicks, it clicks, if it doesn’t, it’s okay.”

He adds, “Although being in the house with 25 guys is a lot like teaching 25 freshman.”

Despite his romantic rejection, there’s been no love lost from Mathy’s science students.

He says, “My kids were really great. They didn’t give me any grief, and were so excited someone from their small town was actually on national TV.”

The Bachelorette airs Mondays on ABC.
