Satan Isn’t So Scary After All

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Satan is a softie – sort of.

After gaining unprecedented access to The Church of Satan for six months, filmmaker Joshua Warren made Inside the Church of Satan, which documents the dark, controversial religion.

Warren was whisked to the church’s headquarters – called The Black House of the North – in a country he can’t disclose, and while he admits the coffins, daggers, and secret ritual chambers were haunting, he never feared for his life.

He says, “They treated me very respectfully. I never felt threatened. And there are mundane things too – when I met one of the highest level magistrates, she was in an apron making chicken.”

The freaky film sheds light on a never-before-seen Armageddon ritual called “Right of Ragnarok,” that might timid viewers, but it’s the celebrity Satanists that are really shocking.

The Church of Satan says Sammy Davis Jr. and Jayne Mansfield were members, and Marilyn Manson and Mark Almond – the singer of 80s band Soft Cell, famous for “Tainted Love” – are avowed Satanists.
