The Wrong Song For Mom

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Mom deserves to have her praises sung on Mother’s Day (May 11), but be careful what songs you sing to her.

Many of the most famous mommy songs could easily hurt her feelings.

For example, Pink Floyd’s tune, “Mother,” includes lyrics like: Mama’s gonna make all of your nightmares come true/ Mama’s gonna put all of her fears into you.

John Lennon’s “Mother” song has sad lines like: I wanted you but you didn’t want me/ So I got to tell you goodbye, goodbye.

Other mommy music to avoid on Mother’s Day includes Aussie band Butterfinger’s raunchy song “Yo Mama,” which taunts: Your mama’s on the top of my things to do list.

Also, you may want to steer clear of Eminem’s touching ode to motherhood, “Cleaning Out My Closet,” which rhymes: Bch, do ya song/ Keep telling yourself that was a mom.

Finally, Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” is a classic, but there’s no reason Mom should hear: Mama, just killed a man/ Put a gun against his head, pulled the trigger now he’s dead on her special day.
