Crooner Likes Hearing Song On Big Screen

RHINEBECK, N.Y. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Tina Fey’s new film Baby Mama is giving birth to a singer’s unknown jam.

Singer-songwriter Marshall Crenshaw is on a roll now that his song “This Street” lays the backdrop for the hit comedy Baby Mama, starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

Crenshaw, who wrote the title track for the big screen spoof Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, says he was surprised that his song was chosen for the chick flick.

He explains, “It’s an especially obscure song of mine, so it definitely came out of left field. It’s nice when one of my songs is in a movie that people actually see.”

Though the singer calls his song “weird,” he can see why it would be included in the comedy’s soundtrack.

He says, “It’s got a nice groove to it. I’m anxious to see the movie, and curious to see how the song falls into place with the story.”
